What should I do here?

I saw this girl's myspace page and I really wanted to get to know her so I friend requested her and later messaged, basically saying that even though I didn't know her I would like to get to know her. She read it but didn't message back. What should I do? Should I try to message again later or what? She has an aim sn. Should I message her?
